Arthur Ernest Geisinger was born October 1, 1921 in Grand Island, Nebraska to John and Ida (Steinbeck) Geisinger. He was baptized on November 13, 1921 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grand Island. As a young boy, Art moved with his family to Albion Township. While working on his uncle’s farm near Lester Prairie, he was confirmed in his faith at St. Paul’s Lutheran. Art attended country school before graduating from Annandale High School with the Class of 1940. On January 1, 1942, Art was united in marriage to Ruby Vivian Vadner at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Albion Township. Together they farmed in South Haven until the mid-1950s, when they sold the farm and moved to Annandale. Art worked for the Annandale Creamery & Locker Plant for thirteen years; one year as a bottler and twelve years as the manager. In 1964, he began a 20-year career as a District Representative for Lutheran Brotherhood, now Thrivent Financial. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, where he served in various church offices. He was also a member of the Wright County Historical Society, Annandale Pioneer Park Board, and Annandale Commercial Club. Art loved to work and stated he rarely had time for anything else. When he came upon some free time, Art enjoyed trapping, fishing, hunting for deer, duck, goose and pheasant, wintering in Arizona, and picking and selling golf balls. He and Ruby loved to travel the world together, and often reminisced of their adventures. Above all, Art treasured the time he was able to spend while in the company of his family.

Art is survived by his wife of 75 years, Ruby of Annandale; sons, Gary (Beryl) of Annandale, Ronald (Mary Ann) of Annandale and Kevin (Susie) of Buffalo; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Lois Geisinger of New Brighton; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his son Owen Ernest Geisinger; great grandchildren Kristina, Joseph and Grace Ann Steffen; parents;  sisters Viola Hackbarth, Theresa Marohn, Frieda Beneke, Agnes Sundemeier and Lydia Geisinger; and brothers Earl, Joseph, George, Alfred, and Glen.

Art’s grandchildren, Rhonda Schermer, Jennifer McCollow, Jeff Geisinger, Lori Steffen, Josh Geisinger, and Joe Geisinger will serve as the casket bearers, with Kenneth Jensen, Norm Oletzke, Ellsworth Neumann, Jerry Manke, and Thomas Johnson as honorary pallbearers.  Rev. Ken Tatkenhorst, Mary Ann Geisinger, Jane Mol, and Barbara Major will provide the music for the service.
