Amy M. Roller, age 91, of Annandale, formerly of St. Louis Park and Champlin, died Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at the Annandale Care Center.
Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Annandale United Methodist Church with Rev. Marilee Benson and Rev. DelRoy Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Annandale. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and one hour prior to the service, Wednesday at the church. A prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Amy Marcella Roller was born to John and Annie (Sandstrom) Johnson on February 11, 1920 at her home in Rosendale, near Grove City. On October 15, 1938, she was united in marriage to LeRoy Arthur Roller. They lived in Litchfield, Minneapolis, St. Louis Park and Champlin, before settling in Annandale. Amy worked as a sales clerk for Target and Powers Department Store, both in St. Louis Park. She was a member of Annandale United Methodist Church and a former member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, St. Louis Park. Amy enjoyed playing bingo and cards, cheering on the Minnesota Twins, coffee time with friends and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her son & his wife, A. John & Sonja Roller of Annandale; three grandchildren & their spouses, Deborah & Robert Woelfel of Annandale, Laurie & Steven Dick of South Haven and Daniel Roller & Mona Steinhaus of Annandale; five great grandchildren, Breann and Jenna Woelfel, Jessica and Tyler Dick and LeRoy Roller; brother, LeRoy Johnson of Litchfield; and sister, Dorothy Neiland of Champlin. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Annie; husband, LeRoy in 1980; sister, Mildred Madsen; and brothers, Chester and Kenneth Johnson.
Pallbearers will be LeRoy J. Roller, Tyler Dick, Scott Johnson, David Yanagisawa and Ron, Russ & Craig Trettin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jessica Dick, Breann Woelfel and Jenna Woelfel. Sharon Planner, pianist, and Larry & Nancy Wasmund, vocalists will provide the music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care, Annandale.
