Ann (Lenzmeier) Ledford, age 79, of Annandale, formerly of Chicago, died Friday, June 30, 2017 at the Annandale Care Center.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, St. Cloud with Fr. Thomas Knoblach as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery in St. Cloud. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to Project Hope. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Kimball.

A. Ann Ledford was born November 16, 1937 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Edmund and Rose (Scheibel) Lenzmeier. Ann grew up in St. Cloud and graduated from Cathedral High School in 1958. She then attended the St. Cloud Hospital School of Nursing, where she graduated in 1961. She then furthered her education and graduated in 1964 from the St. Cloud Hospital School of Nursing Anesthesia. Ann served in the United States, Latin America and South America with Project Hope from 1966-1972 by providing nurse anesthetist services. On May 16, 1974, Ann was united in marriage to George Ledford in St. Cloud; they resided in the Chicago area. Ann worked all over the United States as a nurse anesthetist, including as the chief nurse anesthetist at Unity Hospital in Fridley. She returned to Minnesota in 2016 to be closer to her family and made the Annandale Care Center her new home. In her spare time, Ann enjoyed traveling, shopping, and attending the Project Hope reunions.

Ann is survived by her siblings, Renee Paul and Leigh (Alice) Lenzmeier, both of St. Cloud; her special friend, Paul Petrow; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Ann was preceded in death by her husband, George in 1985; parents, Ed and Rose Lenzmeier; brothers, Rodney and Mickey Lenzmeier; sisters-in-law, Nellie and Carol Lenzmeier; brother-in-law, John Paul; niece, Luann Lenzmeier; and nephews, Kevin and Luke Lenzmeier.
