Walter W. Anderson, age 90, of Buffalo, formerly of Annandale, died Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Park View Care Center, Buffalo.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Annandale with Pastor Paul Kling officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. 

Walter Wallace Anderson was born February 9, 1927 to Edwin and Anna Louise (Dahlin) Anderson in Annandale. Walter grew up on his family farm and attended Lee School near French Lake. He was baptized at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Annandale and confirmed on August 31, 1941 at Immanuel Lutheran near French Lake. Having grown up with a love of farming, Walter chose to farm alongside his brother, Robert. In addition to the farming, Walter also worked at Minnesota Rubber for 12 years before retiring in 1962. He then returned to farming fulltime at his farm south of Annandale. He retired from farming in 1985, however, through the years Walter continued to help area farmers when the need arose. Walter continued to make his home on the farm until 2006 when he moved into Annandale. Walter will lovingly be remembered for his kind and generous spirit and his ability to make those around him laugh.

Walter is survived by his extended family members and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Anna; siblings, Harold & Lucille Anderson, Luella & James Vansteenburg, and Robert Anderson.

Dan Rosten, Josh Rosten, Dean Kaskinen, Frank Rogers, Colin Alama, and Lester Alama will serve as pallbearers.
