     Rose Ann Donnay, age 84, of Kimball, died Monday, December 19, 2016 at her home in the Heritage House surrounded by the love and care of her family.

     Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 23, 2016 at St. Anne Catholic Church, Kimball with Fr. Thomas Olson as Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Anne Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Kimball and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. A prayer service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

     Rose Ann Donnay was born January 16, 1932 in Kimball, Minnesota to George & Lillie (Olson) Vannurden. Rosie grew up on the farm until the age of 12 when she moved with her family into Kimball. She attended school in Kimball, where she graduated with the Class of 1950. Following graduation, Rosie lived and worked in Minneapolis. On August 28, 1951 she was united in marriage to Florian Nicholas Donnay at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Watkins. Together they worked on their farm, while also caring for and raising their children. Rosie lived on the farm until moving into the Heritage House in Kimball in 2011. Rosie was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church where she was a part of the Missions Group, homemakers group, and the ladies group. She was also a member of the Catholic Order of the Foresters. In her spare time, Rosie enjoyed various crafts such as sewing, quilting, and ceramics. She liked to snowmobile, play cards, and travel, especially to Texas for the winter. Rosie will loving be remembered for the many meals she lovingly prepared for her family. Above all, Rosie treasured the time she was able to spend with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

     Rose is survived by her children, Gary (Vicky) Donnay of St. Cloud, Patricia (Don) Huhn of Darwin, Ramona (Duane) Brenny of Rice, Mark (Linda) of St. Cloud, John (Chris) of Kimball, and Janice (Mark) Loch of Cold Spring; 20 grandchildren; 27 great children; siblings, Blanche (Allen) Miller of Fairhaven, Loretta Olson of New Hope, and Tom Vannurden of Sartell; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Rosie was preceded in death by her husband Florian, daughter Maria, brothers, Bernard, Jim, Walter, Dennis, Leland, Aciel, and Harland Vannurden, and sisters, Carrie Stelton, Leona Meyers, Betsy Stelton, Vera Mae Donnay and Beulah Worcester.

     Rosie’s godchildren will serve as the pallbearers and honorary pallbearers. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Kimball.
