Robert F. Paumen, age 78, of Buffalo, formerly of Maple Lake, died Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Park View Care Center in Buffalo.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, Maple Lake with Fr. John Meyer as Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Chatham Township, Wright County. Visitation will be held 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday and from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
Robert Francis Paumen was born June 14, 1937 in Maple Lake, Minnesota to Leonard and Muriel (Pribyl) Paumen. Bob grew up in Maple Lake and graduated high school with the Class of 1955. On August 23, 1958 he was united in marriage to LaVonne Josephine Uecker at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church. Bob and LaVonne continued to live in Maple Lake, while raising their four sons and farming. Bob also worked for Cenex-Lake Region Coop for 37 years as the credit manager and office manager. Bob officially retired from Lake Region in 1997. Bob enjoyed farming, woodworking and old country music.
Robert is survived by his sons, Dale (Judy) of Maple Lake, Mark of Monticello, Keith (Florence) of Maple Lake, and Neil (Chris) of Maple Lake; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; siblings, Russell (Martha) of Maple Lake; Marcella (Norbert) Schaufler of Maple Lake, Mary VanOfferen of Maple Lake, Gerald (Joyce) of Buffalo, Thomas (Linda) of Buffalo, Maurice (Karen) of Clearwater, Richard (Judy) of Maple Lake, John (Nancy) of Eden Prairie, Jean (Gary) Neutz of Clearwater, David (Marlene) of Bessemer, Alabama, Douglas (Wanda) of Big Lake, and Greg (Diana) of Maple Lake; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Muriel, wife, LaVonne, daughter-in-law, Lois, sister, Lenore Paumen, and an infant daughter.
Nick, Jeff, Brandon, and Ryan Paumen, Randy Borell, and Matt Griffith will serve as pallbearers. Sarah and Hayley Goelz will provide music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Maple Lake.
