Richard D. Sjodahl, age 79, of Annandale, Minnesota died Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at home.

Memorial Services will be held 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale with Deacon Ron Freeman officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasantview Cemetery, Annandale. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until time of the Memorial Service.

Richard David Sjodahl was born November 6, 1937 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Walter and Ann (Hapsch) Sjodahl. He grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from South High School in 1956. On April 6, 1962 Richard was united in marriage to Carol A. Baker in Prescott, Wisconsin. Richard and Carol lived in North East Minneapolis before moving to Annandale in 1973. Richard worked 41 years for Malco Products, Inc., retiring in 2002. Richard loved his family, friends, golfing and wintering in Fort Myers, Florida.

Richard is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carol of Annandale; daughter, Sherri (Tom) Harwarth of Norwood; son, Craig (Lori) of Falcon Heights; grandchildren, Daniel and Kristie Sjodahl; siblings, Walter (Rhonda) of Rockford and Arline (Dave) Skare of Minneapolis. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Marvin Sjodahl and Bev Spicer.  Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial and Cremation Services of Annandale.
