Michael J. Jude, age 67, of Maple Lake, Minnesota died Saturday March 4, 2017 at the Buffalo Hospital.

     Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at St. Timothy Catholic Church, Maple Lake with Fr. John Meyer as Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery, Chatham Township. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and 9:00-10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

     Michael James Jude was born October 19, 1949 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to James and Erma (Ring) Jude. Mike grew up in Maple Lake where he attended school and graduated with the Class of 1967. On June 1, 1974 Mike was united in marriage to Kathleen Schaufler at St. Timothy Catholic Church. Mike worked for Wright-Hennepin Cooperative Electric Association and retired after 37 years. Mike and Katie enjoyed traveling across the country, as well traveling to overseas destinations, such as Rome, Israel, and Ireland. Mike also enjoyed camping and boating, but the greatest enjoyment in his life was the time he was able to spend with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren.

     Mike is survived by his wife of 42 years, Katie of Maple Lake; sons, Ryan (Kari) of Annandale and Aaron of Maple Lake; grandchildren, Cody Stueven, Alayna Jude, and Makenna Jude; siblings, Thomas (Peggy) of Mountlake Terrace, WA, Joseph (Brenda) of Monticello, and Mary Jo (Jerry) Sawatzke of Maple Lake; and many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, James and Erma Jude.

     David Sawatzke, Steve Holland, Adam Schaufler, Jonathan Jude, Jason Jude, and Cody Stueven will serve as pallbearers. Krista Elsenpeter Tarbox and Shannon Paumen will provide music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Maple Lake.
