    Leah Eva Stumpf, age 95, of Maple Lake, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at the Park View Care Center in Buffalo, Minnesota.

    Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 14, 2016 at St. Timothy Catholic Church, Maple Lake with Fr. John Meyer as Celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery, Chatham Township. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 9:00-10:00 a.m. on Friday, both at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake. Parish prayers will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

    Leah Eva Stumpf was born on September 30, 1921 in Marysville Township, Wright County to Wilfred and Angeline (Desotell) Vieau. She attended the Little Canada School in Marysville Township. On September 13, 1938, Leah E. Vieau and Elmer Stumpf were united in marriage at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly. God blessed their marriage with two children. For over 25 years, Leah was employed with Carlson Manufacturing, located in Maple Lake.  She was a member of St. Timothy’s Catholic Church most of her life. Leah enjoyed gardening, her roses, feeding the birds, and the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

    Leah is survived by her two daughters, Elaine (Douglas) Marquette of Buffalo and Carol (Charles) Paumen of Maple Lake; six grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Elmer, 3 brothers Harvey Vieau, Albert Vieau and twin Leo Vieau.

    Michael Marquette, Jason Paumen, Dennis Vieau, Byron Klitzke, Raymond Stumpf, and Roger Stumpf will serve as pallbearers. Marge Pavlik and St. Timothy’s Resurrection Choir will provide music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Maple Lake.
