Jeffrey M. Miller, age 68, of Annandale died Friday, September 9, 2016 after a 6-year battle with multiple myeloma due to exposure to agent orange in the Vietnam War.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Annandale with Fr. George Kallumkalkudy as the Celebrant. Burial will follow at Pleasantview Cemetery, Annandale. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale, with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church on Tuesday one hour prior to the service. Memorials are preferred to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Jeffrey Michael Miller was born June 9, 1948 in St. Cloud to Lee and Doris (Weidner) Miller. He graduated from Annandale High School with the Class of 1966. He attended St. Cloud State University from 1966-1968. On November 22, 1968, he was united in marriage to Mary Jane Erickson at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Annandale. Jeff was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1968 where he served 14 months in Vietnam. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Accounting in 1972. Jeff worked for the accounting firm of Arthur Anderson from 1972 until forming his own accounting firm in 1977 in St. Cloud with Tom Wolke. He later became the senior partner of Miller, Welle, Heiser, retiring in 2005. Jeff was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church, the Clearwater American Legion Post 323 and the Maple Lake American Legion Post 131. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, golfing and working on his cabin in Outing. He loved spending time at the cabin and cherished time with his family.
Jeff is survived by his wife Mary Jane of Annandale; children Nate (Jessica) of Annandale, Michelle (Damon) Clare of Delano and Heather of St. Paul; grandchildren Claire and Oliver Miller, Davin and Sienna Clare; mother Doris of Annandale; sisters and brothers Sharon of Plymouth, Linda (Jeff) Schultz of Shawville, Quebec, Gary (Kim), Mark (Laurel), David (friend Karla Lanie) and Bradley (Lisa) all of Annandale and Jonathan (Laura) of Big Lake. He is preceded in death by his father Lee.
The casket bearers will be Gary, David, Mark, Bradley, Jonathan and Mason Miller and Tom Ponsford. The St. Ignatius Music Ministry will provide the music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.
