Jeanette Corrine Rathje was born November 16, 1947 to Anton “Tony” & Violet (Finkelson) Danelke in Parkers Prairie, Minnesota. Jeanette grew up in the Parkers Prairie area, where she also attended school. In 1960, she then moved with her family to the South Haven area. On May 14, 1966, Jeanette was united in marriage to Douglas Rathje in Annandale. Jeanette worked for the Buffalo Hospital for 16 years, 13 of those years in the housekeeping department and 3 years as a certified nursing assistant. She then worked at the Annandale Care Center as a CNA before working at the Long Lake Nursing Home for 6 years in their housekeeping department. In her spare time, Jeanette enjoyed cleaning house, decorating, playing bingo, tending to her flower gardens, and being in the company of her cats and dogs. She also liked to go to garage sales, look for antiques, and mow the lawn. Above all, she treasured the time she was able to spend with her family, especially with her boys and her granddaughter, Emily. She will lovingly be remembered for her strong, amazing spirit and the endless love she gave as a mother and grandmother.

Jeanette is survived by her sons, Steven of Annandale and Michael of Annandale; granddaughter, Emily; siblings, Geraldine (Donny) Schmidt of Watkins, Dennis (Nancy) of Oregon, Sandy Danelke of Brainerd, Eldon (Shelly) Danelke of Annandale, and Sheri Nesenson of St. Cloud; sister-in-law, Janet Danelke of Annandale; special niece, Toody; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Douglas, parents, brothers, LeRoy & Larry Danelke, stepbrother Stanley Finkelson and stepsister Pat Schultz.
