Hunter Thomas Albers, age 5, of Maple Lake died Monday, January 19, 2004 at the St. Cloud Hospital due to injuries received in a sledding accident.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 22, 2004 at the Albion Evangelical Free Church, 11480 5th St. NW, Cokato with Rev. Daniel Runke officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake and one hour prior to the funeral at the church. There will be a prayer service 8:00 p.m. Wednesday.
Hunter Thomas Albers was born July 2, 1998 at St. Cloud to Thomas J. Albers and Cindy A. (Rigenhagen) Mavencamp. Hunter lived in Maple Lake and was in kindergarten at Maple Lake Elementary. He was a member of Albion Evangelical Free Church, rural Cokato where he attended Sunday School. Hunter enjoyed fishing, playing with his siblings and cousins, playing his Play Station, and race cars.

Hunter is survived by his parents, Cindy Mavencamp of Maple Lake and Thomas Albers of Avon; sister and brother, Vanessa & Colby Mavencamp of Maple Lake; grandparents, Duane Albers of Avon, Clint Rigenhagen of Springfield, MO, Ruth Rigenhagen of Maple Lake; great grandmothers, Gladys Rigenhagen of Maple Lake, Shirley Miller of Maple Lake; also several aunts; uncles; and cousins. His grandmother, Patricia Albers; great grandfather, Robert Rigenhagen; and great great grandmother, Julia Vitak preceded him in death.

Pallbearers will be Dan, Rick, & Drake Rigenhagen, James & Ronald Albers, and Byron Cigelske. Music for the funeral will be provided by Linda Groos and Bev Lund.
