    Eugene “Gene” Schlueter, age 67, of St. Cloud, formerly of Clearwater and Fairhaven, died November 4, 2015 at his home.

    Memorial Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Concordia Lutheran Church, Fairhaven with Rev. Timothy Nerud officiating.  Burial will follow at Concordia Lutheran Cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

    Eugene Raymond Schlueter was born November 1, 1948 in St. Cloud to Albert and Edna (Hamann) Schlueter.  He was confirmed at Concordia Lutheran Church, Fairhaven, and graduated from Kimball High School with the Class of 1967.  On November 25, 1967, he was united in marriage to Linda Gehrke at Concordia Lutheran Church in Fairhaven.  They made Clearwater their home for 19 years, moving to Fairhaven in 1987 and to St. Cloud in 1998.  Gene worked as a supervisor at Advanced Machine in Plymouth for 19 years, manager at the St. Augusta American Legion Club for 11 years and was a route salesman for Purity Milk for 6 years.  He was a member of the Clearwater Volunteer Fire Department, Concordia Lutheran Church, Fairhaven Township Board, Fairhaven Old Settlers Committee and the Fairhaven Lions; he was awarded the Melvin Jones Award by the Lions Club.  Gene enjoyed camping and woodworking.

    He is survived by his wife Linda of St. Cloud; son Michael (Vanessa) of Fairhaven; daughter Becky (Roger) Block of St. Cloud; grandchildren Austyn, Logan, Talyn, Evan and Hannah; sisters Dorothy Groth of Sauk Rapids, Shirley (Danny) Imholte of Princeton, Erma (Raymond) Kremers of St. Cloud and Darlene (Walter) Looman of Fairhaven; brother Ralph of Minneapolis; and sister-in-law Marian Schlueter of Fairhaven.  He is preceded in death by his parents Albert and Edna Schlueter; brother Norman Schlueter; brother-in-law Lester Groth; and sister-in-law Mildred Schlueter.

    The urn bearers will be Ed and Wanda Hanson, Harvey and Brenda Eggert, Bruce and Pete Knops.  Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Kimball.
