Ella V. Johnson, age 97, of Annandale passed peacefully on Friday, July 15, 2016 at the Annandale Care Center.

    Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 18, 2016 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Annandale with Rev. Dave Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Annandale. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the funeral on Monday both at the church. There will be a prayer service 6:30 p.m. Sunday.  Memorials are preferred to St. John’s Lutheran Endowment Fund or Pink Courage, Inc.

    Ella Viola Johnson was born on December 1, 1918 in Annandale to the late Andrew J. and Anna (Johnson) Johnson. She married Ralph D. Johnson on September 3, 1938 in Annandale and he preceded her in death on February 28, 1985. She lived in Annandale most of her life where she was a farm wife, homemaker, and for 22 years was a seamstress at Wonderalls, Buffalo.  Ella was Baptized and Confirmed in the Christian Faith at St. John’s Lutheran Church where she was a life member. Ella loved her family, her faith, sewing, dancing, baking apple pies, and making homemade meatballs & buns for everyone.

    Ella is survived by two daughters, Kathryn Brevik of Annandale, and Janet (Bob) Loesch of Kimball; 7 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter Carol Powers-Ernst; special friend Walter “Pete” Olson; and brothers Leonard, LeRoy & Donald.

    The pallbearers will be Derrick Johnson, Andrew Kasner, Damian Fiedler Robasse, Jerry Crype, Jeremy, David & Guage Robasse.  The music for the service will be provided by Orma Lou Jacobsma and Judy Johnson.
