Mr. Donald R. Holmgren, age 76, of Sartell formerly Henning died Monday, July 11, 2016 at the St. Cloud Hospital.

No services are scheduled and Interment will be in Girard Cemetery, Henning, MN.

Donald Rex Holmgren was born September 5, 1939 in South St. Paul to Vincent A. and Doris I. (Anderson) Holmgren.  He was raised in Henning and graduated from Henning High School in 1957. Donald served 2 years in the US Army from 1963-65.  He moved to New York and worked 23 years for Cartier Jewelry Store on 5th Ave. He later moved to California and became part owner of Convention Management Resources in San Francisco. Donald has resided in Sartell for the past year where he could be closer to family.  He enjoyed time spent with friends and traveling.

He is survived by a brother David and Mary Holmgren of Annandale, MN; brother in law Richard Gustason of Estero, FL; many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by a sister Beverly Gustason and a brother Bruce.
