Dale P. T. Maki, age 70, of Annandale, formerly of New Hope, died Saturday, September 9, 2017 at his home on French Lake.

Funeral Services will be held 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale with Deacon Bob Bramwell officiating. Visitation will be from 3-6 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral chapel. Interment will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 14, at St. Ignatius Catholic Cemetery in French Lake Township.

Dale Peter Thomas Maki was born January 28, 1947 in Minneapolis to Arvo and Virginia (Voegtli) Maki. He graduated with the Class of 1965 from DeLaSalle High School on Nicollet Island, Minneapolis. On Christmas Eve in the year of 1966, Dale was united in marriage to Theresa M. Calzo. Their marriage was blessed with 4 children, 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Dale served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and the U.S. Army Reserves during Operation Desert Storm, Gulf War. He worked as a welder for 35 years for NSP / Xcel Energy; retiring in 2006. Dale was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Annandale and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers #160. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading and bowling.

Dale is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Theresa; children and their spouses Sean & Kelli Maki of Albertville, Andrea & Richard Stenzel of Burlington, WI, Maria & Brian Knaeble of Buffalo and Elizabeth & Adam Shiek of Alexandria; sister Mary Beth Maki of Chanhassen; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents Arvo and Virginia; and brothers Richard and Charles.

The pallbearers will be Brian Knaeble, Richard Stenzel, Kevin Maki and Thomas Maki. Full Military Honors will be provided by the Minnesota National Guard Honor Guard. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.
