Curtis Leon Stuhr

Curtis L. Stuhr, age 65, of Maple Lake died of end stage renal disease at his home on Friday, February 2, 2018 with his family at his side.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 9, 2018 at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Maple Lake with Fr. John Meyer officiating. Burial will follow at St. Timothy Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Maple Lake.

Curtis Leon Stuhr was born in Buffalo to Melvin and Emma (Flynn) Stuhr. He grew up in Maple Lake and graduated with the Class of 1970 from Maple Lake High School. Curt continued his education at St. Cloud Technical College, graduating in 1973. On September 9, 1973, he was united in marriage to Pamela Piram at St. Francis Catholic Church in Buffalo. Curt worked in the yard and as a truck driver for Maple Lake Lumber prior to working at Stevens Lee in Plymouth in assembly, as a foamer and as a forklift operator. He was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church, the Fr. O'Brien's Council of the Knights of Columbus, and the Catholic Order of Foresters. He enjoyed watching sports, fishing, hunting, bowling, playing basketball, horseshoes and cards. He loved spending time with family.

He is survived by his wife Pamela; children Curt (Dani) Stuhr of Princeton, Angel (Chetta) Smith-Stuhr of Big Lake and Eric Stuhr of Jacksonville, FL; sister Adele (Jim) Fobbe of Maple Lake; brother Mel Jr. (Dorothy) Stuhr of Clearwater; sister-in-law Carla (Mike) Huro of Maple Lake; brother-in-law Bill (Cindy) Piram of Annandale; grandchildren Brandon, Emmalyn, Annabelle and Xander; and step-father-in-law Russ Ottenstroer. Curtis was preceded in death by his parents Melvin and Emma Stuhr; father-in-law John Piram; and mother-in-law Marjorie Ottenstroer.

The urn bearers will be Randy Fobbe, Brad Fobbe, Garrett Stumpf, Danny Stuhr, Dennis Stuhr and Don Rother. Alison Totz and Krista Elsenpeter-Tarbox will provide the music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Maple Lake.
