Coralee “Corky” Embola, age 80, of Annandale died Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at her home on French Lake under the loving care of her family.

    Memorial Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Annandale. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel. Burial will be 2:15 p.m., Thursday, December 15 at Crystal Lake Cemetery in Minneapolis.

    Coralee Darline Embola was born on July 4, 1936 in Minneapolis to Hermann and Pearl (Johnson) Noeker. She grew up and attended school in Minneapolis. On July 2, 1953, she was united in marriage to Duane Junior Embola in Minneapolis. Together, they made their home and raised their family in Crystal. Corky worked for 42 years for United Hardware in Plymouth as the supervisor of computer operations, retiring in 2000. In 1986, Duane and Coralee built their home on French Lake near Annandale. Coralee enjoyed spending time with family and friends and caring for her cats.  She was an avid bowler for 50 years and loved to travel.

    Coralee is survived by her daughter Lori (James) Alman of Annandale; daughter-in-law Linda Embola of Dent; three grandchildren Stephanie (Graham) Lief of Bartlesville, OK, Jeremy (Christina) Alman of South Haven and Douglas Alman (significant other Nicole Johnson) of Cold Spring; three great grandchildren Travis and Lyndsey Lief and Jordan Alman; three step grandchildren Isaac, Sarah and Hannah Altmann; two step great grandchildren; sister Carol Gandy of New York Mills; two nieces and two nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Hermann and Pearl; husband Duane; and son James.
