Christine Faye Jeppesen was born on June 2, 1947 in Merrill, WI to Esther Kortz. She was raised by Clemence and Esther (Kortz) Loch in rural Watkins and graduated from Eden Valley High School with the Class of 1965. She was united in marriage on October 30, 1965 to Gerald Kuechle at St. Peter Catholic Church in Eden Valley. They were blessed with a daughter, Janet, prior to Gerald’s death in 1968. They lived in South Haven, prior to moving to rural Kimball in 1975 where they farmed for several years. In 1985, they purchased Fairway Foods and General Store in South Haven from Jerry’s father and changed the name to Jeppesen’s Store; they sold the store in 1994.

She loved to travel, especially to Mountain View, Arkansas. When her children were younger, they would be pulled from school to go on memorable two-week family vacations every year. She has continued to share her love of traveling with her grandchildren. Chris was very artistic enjoying painting, cake decorating, and sewing.
