     Carole Faye Hausken, age 82, of Annandale, died Friday, August 26, 2016 at Guardian Angels Care Center in Elk River, Minnesota.

     Memorial Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 2, 2016 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Annandale with Rev. Dave Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home

     Carole Faye Hausken was born March 25, 1934 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Gilbert and Helen (Saenger) Andrews. She was baptized on June 17, 1934 at the United Methodist Church and was confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church on October 23, 1949. Carole was raised in Annandale and attending school there, graduating with the Annandale High School Class of 1952. She furthered her education at Lutheran Deaconess where she obtained her registered nursing degree. On September 9, 1955 Carole was united in marriage to Donald Hausken at the Annandale United Methodist Church. She began her career as a registered nurse at the St. Peter State Hospital and then at the Elbow Lake Hospital from 1956-1969. Carole briefly worked at the Fairview Southdale Hospital prior to retiring from the Park View Care Center after 25 years of employment. Carole was a member of the Annandale Improvement Club and an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, as her faith was of the utmost importance. In her spare time, Carole enjoyed playing cards, gardening, reading her bible, fellowship, and loved family gatherings. She especially enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s events. A true caregiver at heart, Carole will be greatly missed and fondly remembered for her gentle, kind, and caring spirit.

     Carole is survived by her husband of 60 years, Don; children, Kendra Brown of North Branch, Kurt (Lori) of Maple Lake, Julie Roth (significant other, Mark Luostari) of Prescott, WI, Tim (Jane) of Oakdale, and Jeff of St. Bonifacius; 9 adoring grandchildren, Christopher, David, Daniel, Meghan, Michael, Matthew, Adam, Abby, and Aiden; 1 great grandchild, Arianna Carole; sisters, Donna Jarl of Minneapolis, Lylah (Don) Ledford of San Clemente, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Darrell, 2 sons-in-law Daniel Brown and David Roth, and 2 grandchildren Justin & Kevin Brown.

     The family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to the staff of Guardian Angels Care Center and Hospice. Carole’s family will serve as urnbearers. Orma Lou Jacobsma will provide music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.
