Brian A. Lennox, age 66, of Minneapolis, died Thursday, October 12, 2017 at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis.

  A gathering of family and friends will take place Friday, October 20, 2017 from 6:30 – 9:00 p.m. at the Park Tavern in St. Louis Park. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Kingston Apostolic Lutheran Cemetery.

  Brian Arvin Lennox was born September 4, 1951 in Minneapolis to Orville and Vivian (Dorman) Lennox. He grew up in Minneapolis as graduated from the Minneapolis Vocational High School with the Class of 1969. Brian enlisted in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, serving in Germany patrolling the eastern border. Following his service, he earned a Para Legal Associate of Arts Degree from the University of Minnesota. On July 28, 1973, Brian was united in marriage to Julianne Newman at Christ Presbyterian Church in Edina. They made their home in Minneapolis and were blessed with two children. Brian worked for 37 years for Straub Design in St. Louis Park, retiring in 2016. He enjoyed baseball, being active in the outdoors and spending time with family and friends. Brian was well respected and loved; his presence will be missed.

  Brian is survived by his wife Julie; sons Micah (Josie) of Le Sueur and Travis of St. Louis Park; sister Sheila of St. Michael; and brother Bruce (Marilyn) of Phoenix. He is preceded in death by his parents Orville and Vivian; and brother Robert.

  The casket bearers will be Joel Dahlheimer, Tony Newman, Dave Sharlin, John Freeman, Tim Smith and Matthew Terry. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.
